This program enables Canadian employers to hire temporary foreign workers without a Labour Market Assessment (LMIA). While an LMIA is usually required for a Canadian employer to hire a temporary foreign worker, this requirement has several exemptions. As a result, this requirement may vary depending on the nature of your business and long-term plans of employing international talent.

Being a Canadian employer, you can benefit from the LMIA exemption codes created by the government of Canada through the International Mobility Program. For example, citizens of countries with which Canada has Free Trade Agreements or Ceta countries, hiring workers through Global Talent Stream or Intra-Company Transfer Program are a few such examples of LMIA exemption.
